LAMDA Exams and UCAS Tariff
We are pleased to announce that a number of LAMDA Examinations’ QCA-Accredited*
higher level qualifications have been included in the UCAS Tariff. Students passing any of
the Academy’s National Qualifications Framework-accredited Level 3 exams will be able to claim between 20 and 90 UCAS points, comparable with their attainment. The chart below shows how points will be awarded and also highlights how favourably LAMDA’s
examinations are compared to GCE AS and A level qualifications.

The Academy’s inclusion in the tariff will affect students entering university from 2008. Students taking grades 6, 7 and 8 will be able to take advantage of this from 2008,
but those achieving the LAMDA Certificate in Speech and Drama: Performance Studies will
not be able to claim points until the 2009 university intake.
* Within the current 2004-2009 Graded Examinations specifications, all examinations are
QCA-accredited, with the exception of the Entry Level and Group examinations. Although
Musical Theatre for the Actor/Singer is now accredited, it has not yet been included in the
tariff.
